Home Energy Score
Energuy partners with our contractors and Bay Area Homeowners to provide Home Energy Score reports. The report lets homeowners understand the energy efficiency of their home on a simple scale of 1 to 10. The report also comes with customized recommendations for energy efficiency upgrades. We will email the report directly to both you and your customer right after the job has been completed.
What is Home Energy Score?
Developed by DOE and its national laboratories, the Home Energy Score provides home owners, buyers, and renters directly comparable and credible information about a home’s energy use. Like a miles-per-gallon rating for a car, the Home Energy Score is based on a standard assessment of energy-related assets to easily compare energy use across the housing market. The Home Energy Score Report estimates home energy use, associated costs, and provides energy solutions to cost-effectively improve the home’s efficiency. Each Home Energy Score is shown on a simple 1-to-10 scale, where a 10 represents the most efficient homes.

BESO requirements can be a little complex, but no worries! We’ll take care of all the testing and paperwork necessary to be in compliance with BESO regulations. Our BPI Certified Energy Assessors (Building Analysts) will arrive at the home or building and complete the job within an hour or so. It’s that easy!

Is the Berkeley BESO a mandatory Assessment?
Berkeley’s Building Energy Saving Ordinance (BESO) requires building owners and homeowners to complete and publicly report comprehensive energy assessments to uncover energy savings opportunities. BESO compliance is required on a phased-in schedule. The timing, frequency and specific type of energy assessment required depends on the type and size of building.

SMUD
Energuy has issued more than $26 million in rebates to date. Our Home Performance Department works closely with SMUD to perform necessary testing, collect all necessary data on site, enter and manage all customer information into the SMUD portal to process. We will manage the notifications and requirements. Our professional and experienced team can handle high volume home performance jobs, as well as manage all your standalone jobs to ensure full your customers receive timely and accurate rebates.
PG&E Energy Upgrade California – Rebates of more than $4,000 available
Offer your customers more than $4k in incentives when performing energy efficient improvements, especially gas to electric conversions! The more improvements made to your customer’s home, the more incentives you can offer. Residents in the PG&E Territory can combine eligible upgrades with multiple programs to achieve even more rebates. Energuy will assess each job individually to maximize rebates available.

Energuy has Certified Building Analysts who can provide large scale multifamily energy audits for SMUD, PG&E or other utility program’s upgrade programs.
